The history of the institution began with the reorganization of the Republican sports base of the Committee for Physical Culture and Sports under the Council of Ministers of the BSSR. On January 4, 1987 a new institution, the Belarusian Republican Administration for the Provision of Sports Events Belsportobespechenie, was formed by the order of the State Committee of the Belarusian SSR for Physical Culture and Sports No. 1.
Later another Order of the Ministry of Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Belarus No. 630, dated August 17, 2010, expanded the institution by joining it to the Republican Unitary Enterprise Hotel Complex Sport. By the decision of the Minsk City Executive Committee, dated June 22, 2000 No. 709, the Belarusian State Enterprise for the provision of sports events Belsportobespechenie was renamed into the Republican Unitary Enterprise for the provision of sports events Belsportobespechenie.
The current stage of development of the institution began with the adoption of the Decree of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated April 29, 2013 No. 326. The Decree reorganized the Republican Unitary Enterprise for the provision of sports events Belsportobespechenie into the State Institution Belsportobespechenie.
Today, the State Institution Belsportobespechenie is a budgetary organization established to promote the development of physical culture and sports.
