A meeting of the Council for Physical Culture and Sports of the CIS Member States was held in Tashkent (Republic of Uzbekistan)

On behalf of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Vikentievich Dorohovich, First Deputy Minister of Sports and Tourism, took part in the meeting of the Council.

In accordance with the agenda of the meeting, the Council was provided with information on the preparation of Belarus for the II Games of the CIS countries, which will be held in Belarus from 3 to 15 August 2023.

Alexander Dorohovich noted that Belarus has significant experience in holding major sports competitions. He stressed that Belarus will do everything necessary to ensure that the II Games of the CIS countries, which will be held not only in Minsk, but also in all regional cities of Belarus, are organized at the highest level.

Alexander Vikentievich also noted that Belarus has modern sports facilities and invited athletes from the CIS member states to conduct joint training camps on the eve of the 2024 Summer Olympics, as well as to participate in competitions held in Belarus (almost all events have the status ” open”).
